"I recently bought the Cielo Rain Parka for women for myself and loved it so much. My husband admired it too, and so for Fathers Day, I ordered him one, only to discover the men’s version is missing several of the features that makes the women’s version such a winner. First, the men’s version has no vent across the back, to let moisture escape. Second, the men’s version does not have a double headed zipper, so it can be unzipped either from the bottom or the top, as the women’s has. Third, the men’s does not have the attractive contrast zipper color that is so stylish on the women’s jacket, opting instead for a placket with annoying Velcro. In short, the men’s parka is really nothing special. Too bad they didn’t repeat the neat features from the women’s version."

Almost Perfect

"The jacket fits and looks great and is functionally sound - the only issue I have is that the zipper pull is on the left side of the jacket which is different from every other jacket I have had in my entire life so it's taking some getting used to when taking it off. I will note that the model video shows the zipper on the right side."

"I got it without noticing it was for men. Actually it fits me very well. I like how simple but elegant it looks and functional as well. It can be packed in a small size. Overall, I like this coat."

Wrong size; easy return

"I was really excited to find this rain parka, and I accidentally ordered a small instead of a medium! I was able to easily find my size at a local Cotopaxi shop and switch it! Right in time for back-to-back atmospheric rivers this winter!"

Raincoat search is *finally* over

"Living in PNW requires quality rain gear - but finding the right fit has been a challenge. This parka hit all of our ideal metrics. Soft breathable (silent!) fabric with a little stretch - a few well placed pockets, but not so many that I lose my things. More fitted shoulder/sleeve - lots of the jackets I tried were oversized just in the upper body with extra long sleeves. You cant get rain gear altered at a dry cleaners so it was a key fitting point. This jacket fits closer to the body with an average wing span. Good length with a fishtail vent in the back. Hood is generous but not huge - might be a snug fit for some natural hair styles. The only hood adjustment is at back of the head with a little shock cord and toggle. The black is saturated and matte. Really nice, lightweight jacket that I'm hoping lasts a long time. Wish there were more color options - especially from such a dynamic brand, I can usually spot a Cotopaxi piece from a distance - but not a this one. Maybe that’s a selling point for you!"

Just what I was looking for

"Haven't had it out in the rain yet, but it looks like a very quality-built rain jacket. I wanted a jacket that was longer to protect more of my trousers and this fits the bill. Only minor comment is on the placement of the velcro on the wrist enclosures. It doesn't allow it to be tightened around my wrist enough without having a large flap overhang."
