strap middle irritation

"This bag caught my eye right away at the store and I knew I loved the look. I quickly realized I either needed to return it or get crafty with it to though to make it more comfortable. The solid strap between the cords is not long enough in my opinion. The thick, sewn together ends of that straps would rub on my skin when I was wearing a tank top in a way that I could not stand. I think that portion of the strap should be double the length (instead of the cords being so long/adjustable). I ended up cutting off the strap and sewing on my own piece of fabric that is at least double the length of the original strap so that it doesn't rub/irritate me. While doing this I had to retie/shorten the cords, but I much prefer the way the bag feels now."
