Our iconic down vest now features a 100% recycled DWR-finished shell and the same responsibly sourced 800-fill down you know and love. With an improved fit, this vest is one you’ll never want to take it off. Fuego is the vest we turn to year-round, from summer camping to winter wandering.

The new Fuego features an updated Regular fit, offering easier layering without compromising warmth. Longtime fans may notice it's not as slim-fitting as previous versions.

Love the vest not the rest

"I bought a vest and love the material and style. Unfortunately it is way too big. When I went to exchange it didn’t have my size. But when I checked on line it had my size. I emailed to ask why and explain I shouldn’t have to pay the restocking fee. But I also had used a discount code. Since I have to return it I lost the discount code. But as for the vest it runs large but is good quality. The rest is up for debate."

Fuego Down Vest Sizing

"I ordered a size down from the Fuego vest I have. It came, and I was so excited! However, the zipper is black, not silver, which is kind of a bummer. Moreover, the medium I ordered is the exact same size as the large I have. I measured them together. What a bummer. I hate returns and exchanges as it takes a while. I will say the exchange process is easy, but I have to pay for the return shipping. I'm bummed about that."

Very Cute but Not As Expected

"I was surprised by how boxy / big the vest was, it is a huge change from the previous style. I'm typically between a M and S, and I was swimming in the small. Certainly size down. Further - I was underwhelmed by the quality of the product. Some of the line trims were noticeably poorly done around the zipper closures, with thread coming off. The quality of the vest itself was great, but these little details matter."

Lightweight & Perfect Warmth

"This is my 2 Fuego Down Vest! Black, Medium. I am 5’6”, 135. I bought my 1st Cotopaxi vest at REI, due to its lightweight nature and well thought out design, plus great fit! I spent the money because it was lightweight and packable for my recent 5 week holiday trip to Europe. I bought the cream color. I wore the vest just about everyday and had to wash only 1x. I wore a silk base layer, a merino wool base layer, under the vest (perfect combo!), and completed it with it with a down-like winter coat. I was never cold. I am normally prone to cold & chills. The vest provided just the right amount of everything! Thank-you for a perfect product, Cotopaxi!"

"Exactly what I’ve been needing for layering and you can’t beat the color combos Cotopaxi always has. Great storage and pocket space. Only thing is it does run a lil bigger than I thought. I’m normally a small/medium but went with a medium just in case and I wish I sized down bc it’s a bit baggy in my torso now."

Great Vest

"This is the first outdoor vest I've bought (I've had a hard time understanding the need for a down chest cover but no sleeves??), and so far I've been pretty happy with it! It has a really nice flattering fit for me as someone with a wider waist, but not too tight to be uncomfortable. I really love the most recent color choice too of the purple to gold spectrum, in the end the fit and the colors really sold me. That and I always love to support a B Corp!"
